I will work with you step-by-step to create a truly tasty and beautiful cake for your wedding day. On this page you can get an idea of how I typically work…
Consultation and tasting
A cake consultation is the first step towards creating your perfect wedding cake. This gives us the opportunity to meet and for me to hear more about your wedding plans and learn about your style. You will also have the opportunity to try a selection of cakes from the flavour menu! I recommend a face-to-face meeting where possible but appreciate this can’t always be achieved, so if need be we can liaise by phone, email or Skype and I can also send cake tasters by post.
After your consultation I will take the ideas we discussed and create a tailored cake proposal just for you. This will include an inspiration board, design and size details and an initial quote. This provides a starting point from which we can tweak your design if need be to ensure you have the perfect cake for your day.
Delivery and set up
I like to personally ensure that the cake is exactly as it should be on the big day. I can liaise with your venue to agree the set up arrangements and with your florist should the cake design incorporate fresh flowers. Each cake is provided on a board that is suitable for cutting and placing on a cake stand. If you wish to source a complementary cake stand, I am more than happy to assist with this. Delivery and set up is charged based on milage and time.
As each cake is tailor-made, you will receive a personalised quote for your design in your proposal, following a consultation and tasting. Below is an initial guide to the starting price for a few different styles (based on three tiers & approx 120 portions):
Naked cake: from £350
Semi-naked: from £425
Fully dressed: from £450
Pop-Up Patisserie: from £6 p/h
Initially, a £100 deposit is payable to secure the booking. The balance is then payable up to two weeks before the big day.
Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss your requirements in more detail. I am always happy to discuss different options and possibilities if you are working to a tight timescale or particular budget.
